Dreamhouse Kings in the Spotlight

June 19th, 2010 • Posted in: News

Three critics (yeek!) at Fiction Addict—Jake Chism, Lori Twichell, and Josh Olds—sat down and talked about the Dreamhouse Kings for an hour. Seems like they discussed everything, from the covers to the characters, their favorite worlds to time travel. (You’ll never guess who their favorite character is!)

Spoiler alert! Don’t listen to this audio recording unless you’ve read all the books through Frenzy! Really!

If you want to listen to it online or download it, click here.

“Así que ser fuerte y valiente!”

The publishing house Edebé, based in Barcelona, has just licensed the Spanish-language rights to the Dreamhouse Kings (for worldwide distribution). I believe they start shipping in the fall.

Had a blast at Margarita Middle School!

May 24th, 2010 • Posted in: News

On May 27, I talked to the students at Margarita Middle School in Temecula, Calif., about the Dreamhouse Kings and my career as a writer. These 6th, 7th, and 8th graders are exceptionally bright (as their challenging questions about the story showed) and very polite. My thanks to Bridget McDermott, who arranged the trip and hosted my visit.

Valley News ran an article about my visit. You can see it here.

May 20th, 2010 • Posted in: News

Frenzy, the sixth and final book in the Dreamhouse Kings series officially released May 18…and we’re having a party for it Saturday, May 22nd (2pm-4pm).

Bring your books to have them signed. You can purchase them at the party or order them from the store (719-266-1600) and have them waiting there for pick-up.

It’s going to be loads of fun, with food, drinks, door prizes, and a lot more.

Hope to see you there!

When the Kings move to a small town in northern California, they have no idea of the adventures—and terrors—waiting for them. Fifteen-year old Xander and his twelve-year-old brother David make a game of exploring the old Victorian home they move into. One night, they discover an intruder and follow him to a hidden hallway of doors. Each door transports them to far off places in long-ago times.
